Boots Mini Haul | Beauty

Hello everyone!

The other day on a mini shopping trip I stumbled into Boots and found myself picking up a few makeup products. I'm a huge lover of the Collection 2000 brand, so that was my first port of call, and then I had a quick look at the Natural Collection brand and these are the three things I purchased.

Collection 2000, Volumising Mascara - Extra Volume, Waterproof £3.99
Natural Collection, Lash Lengthening Mascara Black, Waterproof £1.99
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfect Concealer, 2 Cool Medium £3.99
I'm always on the hunt for a good mascara, and these two have so far proved to be good! I only buy waterproof mascaras, as I find that they last a lot longer than regular ones. The Collection 2000 one is pretty good for fuller lashes and though I already have pretty dense eyelashes, this made it look even better! The Natural Collection one made them a little longer, but not too noticeable, but for £1.99 I can't complain! Lastly I picked up the concealer from Collection 2000 and was pretty confused for a few minutes! They seem to have renamed all the shades for their foundations, powders and concealers. Thankfully, they numbers and tones are still the same! I used to have #2 Light, now it has become #2 Cool Medium. Exactly the same as my last one just a new name! This is the best concealer on the market in my opinion, and a lot of other beauty bloggers have said the same.

Hope you enjoyed my little haul from Boots and have a great day and keep safe :)

My First Lush Haul! | Beauty

Hello everyone!

I've not gone into a Lush store for well over 9-10 years now, and the one in my town is the size of my bedroom, so I don't really go near it! However, after seeing so many good reviews and products on the blogs over the last few months, I just had to go in. As the store is quite small, you can find things pretty quickly. I decided on a couple of bath ballistics, but will be going back again to get some bubble bars and other things! Since this is my first little lush haul, I thought I would share my two items with you!

I'm so happy with them both! I've yet to use either one, but I'm planning on using the Big Blue one sometime this week. I'm so bad with describing scents, so sorry in advance! The Big Blue smells sugary and like refreshers sweets all at once. It's not an overpowering smell, but I hope it will be nice to relax in! I found it very crumbly when I took the pictures, so a lot of it is on my bedroom floor! The Avobath ballistic is my favourite. It smells like love heart sweets, which I adore! I'm going to save this one for a long bath day just so I can relax in it for a long time.

I'll take some instagram pictures of them when I use them! Are there any Lush goodies you think I should give a try? Hope you're having a great day and keep safe :)

MUA Blusher Review | Beauty

Hello everyone!

If you remember back to January when I done my first box swap with my blogger friend Abbie, in this post, then you might remember that she sent me a MUA blusher. I finally got round to using it the other week and now can review it! Until Christmas I hadn't even heard of the MUA brand, but I love their eye shadows now after my friend Lauren bought me some.

This blusher is such a nice colour! It is the shade Bubble Gum. It is a rosy pink shade and when I tried it, I did find that you had to work a lot one before it showed up well. However, as I don't like my blushers to be too strong, a few swipes of this on my cheeks was just perfect!

The packaging is a simple flip lid, and the letters MUA are engraved into the blusher. Sorry the swatch isn't very clear, my camera wouldn't pick it up properly! I really like this and it isn't something I'd have picked out myself, so I'm glad Abbie included it into the box swap.

Hope you're having a great day, and keep safe :)

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush | Beauty

Hello everyone!

Yesterday on my little solo shopping trip, I stumbled (aka walked straight over to) the beauty section in Asda Living, and found a few of the Real Techniques brushes. As much as I wanted all five they had on offer, I decided on just the Expert Face brush for me to use with my liquid foundation. It was only £8.98, which I thought was pretty good considering I've seen it for £12 in other stores.

It's perfect for my foundation, so I'm really happy with this little purchase. The brush is so soft and really works the product onto you without trying to hard! I'd previously been using the Real Techniques Essential Foundation brush, but I wanted to try a different one! How many of the Real Technique brushes do you own, and any recommendations of their brushes would be appreciated! Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

St. Patrick's Day | Beauty

Hello everyone!

As it is currently St. Patrick's day, thought I would make my nails suitable for the day and give them a green makeover! Inspired by a number of tutorials I saw online over the past few weeks, this is what I came up with!

On left are just the base colours that I picked out for the designs.
Pinky finger: Leprechaun's hat buckle
Middle finger - Clover
Thumb - Irish Flag

To make my designs, I used the above items!
L to R: Gold Technic Nail Art, Collection 2000 White Tip, Rimmel Green Grass, Constance Carroll Neon Green, Rimmel Camoflauge, Rimmel POP, Black Technic Nail Art

I used all of the greens I had with me and a dotting tool to help, but it all seemed to work out. Do you like my little creation? Let me know below! If you've got anything similar, then please let me know and I'll check it out. Hope you're having a great day and keep safe :)

Mini Book Haul | My Life

Hello everyone!

If you know me a bit by now, you'll know how much of a book worm I am. When it was half term for schools in the UK I only noticed by the parents I served at work that weekend as they were most grumpy about this fact! My Mum never seemed to stress much over this time of year much when my sister and I were younger, due to one thing. Books. She realized we were quite happy to spend the best portion of the week with a book, (mainly Harry Potter or something by Jacqueline Wilson), and just gave us something to read for the holidays.

This hasn't changed, and I've gone on to read longer books and series. Harry Potter, A Song of Ice and Fire (ASOIAF), Lord of the Rings, Twilight, Vampire Beach and the Hunger Games are just some of the books I immerse myself in. I'm still plodding slowly through ASOIAF, but still went and bought more books the other day. I LOVE books, so when I saw all these in a clearance sale, I just had to get them.

These are all from The Works, on sale for £1 each!

These four books are all ones that caught my eye due to their covers and titles. I know the whole 'don't judge a book by it's cover' mantra, but in the pile of £1 books, these are what I liked the look and sound of!

Left: The Bride Stripped Bare by Nikki Gemmell. It looks a little like the 50 Shades of Grey books which I've read and liked, so hopefully this will be something similar!
Right: Revelry by Lucy Lord. The back cover suggest this is all set in the summer, and feature two wealthy girls on a whirlwind of partying, festivals, love and heartbreak. My sort of lazy day read!

The more 'teen' books that I found. I'm a sucker for anything by Meg Cabot, and these two sound like similar writers and styles.
Left: The Facts of Life: Rachel Riley (almost) wakes up and smells the coffee by Joanna Nadin. This is wrote in diary form, much like the Princess Diaries, so I already have high hopes for this. It also looks like it is part of a series...
Right: Million Dollar Mates: Paparazzi Princess by Cathy Hopkins. Seemingly like it is part of a series, but you don't need to have read the others to understand it - or I am hoping so at least. It is about some rich girl who likes a guy, and another rich girl moves near them and another guy gets involved. Teen love story at it's best!

Once I've read them all, I'll try and review them properly. These are all on standby for days when ASOIAF is just to heavy to concentrate on. What book are you currently reading? Hope you're day is going well and keep safe :)

Etsy Rings Haul

Hello everyone!

Last month I ventured onto Etsy again to just browse, and I was a little naughty and bought three beautiful rings that I couldn't resist buying. I found a really nice shop called ULoveFashion where they make some beautiful handmade jewelry items. They are based in Hong Kong, so it's taken three weeks for them to arrive. I chose three rings of different designs to buy and here they are!

This little package covered in Chinese writing arrived and when opened, there was a little golden bag with thee separate bags inside and then this other little bag with a ring in it, which was a free gift! It's just a small plastic one, which sadly doesn't fit me at all, but I'm sure I can find a use for it!

The blue ring cost £4.94 and can be worn either this way or the other, and it a gorgeous blue colour. This is a US size 7, which only fits my ring finger on both hands, so it's been on the right hand for most of the week.
The red one is a design I found interesting, so had to get it. It's huge. This cost £4.86 and is also a US size 7, but fits my middle fingers the best. Not sure why the same size doesn't fit certain fingers, but I think the band is thicker on the red one!
Lastly is the crystal ring which is a US size 7.5 and cost £4.03. This only fits the middle fingers comfortably, so this has been worn a lot recently!

Hope you liked this mini haul from Etsy! If you liked any of them, let me know below in the comments :) Hope you're all having a great day and keep safe :)
