  • Fell a little behind with regular posting on this blog (oops)
  • Got to see baby Jack for the first time in weeks

  • TV I've watched: Game of Thrones, Agents of SHIELD, Grey's Anatomy, Britain's Got Talent
  • Films I've watched: Blackfish, Now You See Me

Seaworld: Antarctica - Empire of the Penguins

Hello everyone!

Today's post could be a little controversial, but this is something I have loved to watch for the past few weeks just for some down time. Seaworld Orlando's website, offers a livestreaming Penguin cam within the Antarctica section of the park. This was actually being constructed when I visited last April, so this is the only way I can see what I am missing!

The reason I say this might be controversial is due to the Blackfish documentary that came out last year, focusing on the Orca Whales and primarily Seaworld. Just to clear this up before you read on ~ Yes I have seen the documentary and thought it was very insightful, educational and eye-opening. However, I still like the idea of Seaworld as a theme park and I am still planning to go back there in 3 years time with my sister and Billy (who have also seen Blackfish), and my dad - who hasn't seen it. All four of us still want to go to the park, but my sister and Billy won't be coming to the Shamu show anymore. I still want to see it so my Dad isn't sitting alone in the stadium, but I won't think it to be as 'magical' as last time.

ANYWAY....The penguins have been quite entertaining to watch. A couple have slipped over, or just simply laid in the same spot for hours on end. I tend to have a look at the penguins in the morning (GMT time) which is roughly 4-5am in Florida. You can find the cam here. I took a few screen shots of the animals one morning and thought I would show you :)

This first picture was at 4am EST

5:50am one of the staff began to clear out all the old dirty ice/snow

This little one ran past
Once the floor was chunky ice free and 'buffed', some of the penguins came back over

8am EST - Fresh ice is set down

11am EST - Tourists have been in the park for an hour or two by now and you can hear them through the webcam
12:10 PM (5:10pm GMT) - They were walking around quite happily and then I forgot to go back later!

Hope that you liked this post, and if you didn't then, I can understand it! Have you ever been to Seaworld or seen the Blackfish documentary? Thoughts and opinions? Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

Disney Makeover | Snow White

Hello everyone!

I've recently had an influx of love for Disney, probably started by me planning a Disney World holiday in three years! I've had a lot of time spare recently, so have been watching some of the movies and listening to the soundtracks. Something I have seen on a lot of blogs over the eight months I have been blogging, are Disney idea posts. People have been posting fashion and beauty ideas inspired by Disney and I've loved them! So hopping aboard that bandwagon, I'm going to be doing a few fashion and beauty ideas for my take on some Disney characters :)

Little disclaimer: No this isn't an original idea and I know a lot of people do this. I am not trying to copy anyone in particular, I just like the posts I have seen!

Week One:

Hope that you like this first installment of my Disney Makeovers! Will be uploading one of these each week :) Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

New App Review | Free Prints

Hello everyone!

I was looking for some new apps for my iPod Touch the other day and I found a wonderful little gem in the free section! This app is called 'Free Prints' which is a photo printing company. I thought it sounded interesting, so I had a little look, downloaded it and explored a little more.

This is why I love this app. You get 45 FREE prints per month, all 6x4 images, glossy print and high quality. You only pay for the postage and packaging, which will never exceed £3.99. If you want any other sizes, or more than your 45 free images, you will be charged accordingly. The 45 free images renews the first day of every calendar month, so you can get 500 prints per year. Again, thinking this too good to be true, I decided to order some and see what happened.

To pic images to print, you can have ones from your devices, instagram, facebook, a dropbox or flikr. I sent all my images to my dropbox on my laptop, and then via the Free Prints app, I selected that option and the pictures I wanted to choose.

I ordered 40 pictures of my America 2013 trip, all 6x4 images, so I only had to pay £1.49 p+p. It will take between 5-10 for the images to arrive, maybe a little longer depending on where you live. I ordered my pictures Monday 12th May, and got them yesterday (19th May). I am so happy with what I got, and the pictures are such good quality!

The packaging is a sturdy cardboard envelope with a smaller photo holder inside for the images. I am so happy with how these images turned out. Super high quality and nice and glossy! It's exactly how you would expect them to be done if you took them to a photo developers. I've since ordered more from the company for some photo frames as I am so pleased with these.

The other image sizes you can get are: 8x12, 10x15, 12x18, 24x36 and 30x40 which you will be charged for. All the details can be found on the app information tab or on the app's website. You can primarily order from the app, but you can also buy them from the company website.

Have you tried this service yet, or would like to? Let me know in the comments if you have as I would love to know your opinions! Hope you are having a great day and keep safe :)

The Disney Tag

Hello everyone!

I saw this tag on the wonderful Kirstie's Yellow Brick Blog the other day and thought I needed to do it! I've seen a lot of the on YouTube recently and a few other bloggers have done this as well, and I wanted to jump on the bandwagon! So here are my answers!

1 - Fave Disney Film?
Mulan has always been my favourite since I was a child! However, since I saw Tangled at the start of this year (yes I'm a bit slow on catching up) I fell in love with it. Mulan and Tangled are very different, and I love the songs in all of them, and I just want to pinch their cheeks.

2 - Fave Disney Character?
Rapunzel. Had I seen Tangled before I met her last April in Florida, I would have been a lot more excited! I love how funny the character is and the hair is pretty epic too! Imagine all those beauty products she must have tried...

3 - Fave Disney Princess?
Cinderella. I used to watch this at least once a week when I was younger, just because her dress was amazing and she had little rats working for her! And she has the whole rags to riches story which I love :)

4 - Rather be Aurora or Cinderella?
Cinderella as I can't really remember Sleeping Beauty very well! Cinderella gets to have a magical ball, a fairy godmother and then gets to be with Prince Charming? Sign me up! I'll not take the step mother and sisters though!

5 - Rather be Hercules or Tarzan
I've honestly never seen Hercules, and I only saw Tarzan once or twice, so Tarzan it shall be!

6 - Rather be Lizzie McGuire or Raven Baxter?
Lizzie! I didn't really watch Raven that much, but I have seen every Lizzie McGuire episode going, seen the movie and read the books. Her life was never dull, and her parents were hilarious.

7 - Fave Disney Song?
This is a tough one. I have a number that I love, but my faves have to be 'Circle of Life' from the Lion King, 'I'll Make A Man Out Of You' from Mulan, and 'I've Got A Dream' from Tangled!

8 - Which Disney character would be your best friend?
Rapunzel, mainly for the fact she is incredibly clumsy for the best part of the film and uses a frying pan as her main weapon. I adored this film, and I was in shock when her hair got cut - I'm still not over this!

9 - Which Disney character would be your pet?
Gus from Cinderella! I have no love at all for rats or rodents. But the little chunky Gus from Cinderella is damn cute and I think he is adorable! As a secondary backup, Pascal and Maximus from Tangled as they are the funniest duo I've seen in a Disney film for ages!

10 - Have you ever been to Disneyland?
Yes, I went for the first time in February 2001, and then in April 2013! A part from a few park name changes, expansions of the parks and new rides, the magical feeling was still there 12 years later! I loved seeing the castle, and meeting Mickey Mouse and some of the Princesses one day, and I love the pictures I have with them. I'm hoping to go back in 2017 with my Dad, Sister and my friend Billy as I need to go back and get more pictures of the place!

Hope you liked this and if you like Disney, why don't you do it to? Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

Disney Nails | Beauty

Hello everyone!

I've carried on with practicing nail art again, and this time my inspiration came from my Canadian friend Shannie, who had hers done professionally a few weeks ago. She'd put a picture of them on her Facebook and I was tempted to try and this is how it turned out!

For this I used: Rimmel Double Decker Bus - Collection 2000 French Manicure White - Cutex Night Run - Collection 2000 Top Coat

Firstly I painted my pinky, middle finger and thumb red, the index finger was painted with white, and my pointer was painted with black. I used two coats of each.

Next I dotted white spots with a nail tool on my pinky and pointer, and then done the same with black spots on my index finger.
Next to create Mickey heads, I used a large dotting tool and made a small circle in white and black on my middle finger and thumb. Then with a smaller dotting tool, I added the ears! And the look was done!

I added a top coat an hour later so it was all completely dry!

Will you try this yourself or done any other Disney nail art? Let me know with a comment below :) I'm really happy with how these turned out and I think they will be perfect for my possible Orlando trip in a couple of years!

Hope you're having a great day and keep safe :)

The Memory Box | Part 3

Hello everyone!

The other day during a mass bedroom clean, I found my old memory box! It used to be all in an old camera box, but I've since bought a nice one from the Range and while sorting through it all, I took pictures of everything. Here's the third and final part of my memory lane trip!

Find Part One >Here< and Part Two >HERE<. Hope you enjoy this as there is a lot of things within! Be prepared for lots of pictures!

Left: My ticket from Wicked last October. It's given me the musical's bug and I need to see more! It was just amazing, and sitting in the third row was just the best.
Right: 2011 Film Museum ticket. This was the first time me and my sister went to London without our Mum or Dad. A little nerve-wreaking, but we done it! We also got lost in the Museum a dozen times as the exit was blocked off due to Danny Dyer being in there making a movie!

Left: I used to take Government and Politics at school and we went to the Houses of Parliament for a trip one day. These are the badges and pencils I picked up that were free (yeah!!) and my visitor ID badge!
Right: Maps from the 'Great London Museum Day' I done with Dad and sibling! Note to self, two huge ass museums in one day, when it is VERY BUSY, wasn't a good idea. But we did have fun and I couldn't walk the next day.

Left: I used to volunteer at a local Playscheme from the ages of 12-17. I'd attended as one of the kids since I was 5, so I was quite used to the place (plus Mum worked there.) I was 13, and little Hollie was 6 when she first arrived, and she took a shine to me! She was so damn adorable! She made me this when she was 8 years old, and I was almost 16, on the last day of volunteering. It made me cry!
Right: 'Dear Tania. I really like you and don't want to leave you. I want you be your sister. (then a little drawing of us both) Love Hollie'

Left: Parkdean Holiday Park ticket in Sandford, Dorset | A business card of mine!
Centre: The Harrods guide from when I went in 2012. Expensive place...
Right: My year's pass to Leeds Castle! | Landguard Holiday Park ticket in Isle of Wight.

Left: The Ripley's Believe it or Not museum in London, the tickets and the Mirror Maze tickets! It was a pretty interesting museum!
Right: Buckingham Palace summer opening! Went with Mum and Ash for the day (and other things too) and it was so weird being inside the Palace. Really beautiful.

Above: Chessington on the left and Alton Towers on the right, plus a Thorpe Park ticket. I went to Alton Towers with my friend Nicola and her husband, and out friends Julie and Lisa one weekend! It was amazing! Also went to Chessington with them :) Some of the Chessington tickets and the solo Thorpe Park ticket is from a school trip!

Left: Photobooth strip with little Andi, Madame Tussauds ticket, my Sellindge Steam Rally ticket, and at the top is my Micheal McIntyre at the 02 from 2012 ticket!
Right: Four pictures of Shannon as a baby with my family. My original Morrisons employee badge... which they've changed to a new one. The green thing in the middle is a charm with my name on it! Below that is a picture of me and Jodie back in the short hair phase from 2008! And the drawing on the right is courtesy of my friend Wingrove up at work. This is his interpretation of a joke of ours, but basically this is him on a bucket recreating 'Wrecking Ball'.

Above: All of this is from 2009 in Great Yarmouth! I went on holiday there with my friend Jodie, her mum and her mum's partner for a week. I had so much fun!
Left: The Yarmouth Stadium Dog racing program! I won nothing! | My 'teen' membership pass for the holiday park
Middle: Some fake diamonds I won in the arcade | The restaurant where we ate, and it was delicious | A variety of arcade tokens and coins for future use!
Right: A photobooth strip we took on the pier one day after a lot of sleep. We've both changed soooo much!

Hope you liked this final part of my memory box! Do you have a memory box at all? Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)
